Fri Mar 20 - Mon Mar 23
50 SHADES OF GREY  (R)  125min   6:00 and 8:30
This highly anticipated steamy romance, based on the best-selling page-turner by EL James, follows the unlikely and unusual relationship between a college co-ed and a highly eligible businessman.  Dakota Johnson plays Ana, a shy senior English lit major who steps in for her ill roommate to interview handsome and intimidating tycoon Christian Grey, and soon becomes intimately involved with him, complete with helicopter rides, non-disclosure agreements, and kinky sex in his playroom.  trailer

Tues Mar 24 - Thurs Mar 26
INHERENT VICE  (R)  148min   5:15 and 8:15
Reclusive author Thomas Pynchon adapts his own novel for director PT Anderson (There Will Be Blood, The Master).  Like a cross between Altman's THE LONG GOODBYE and the Coen brother's THE BIG LEBOWSKI, this detective caper comedy is convoluted, indulgent, and funny.  A shaggy Joachin Phoenix stars as a stoner private investigator who is pulled into a world of trouble that includes two missing men, a heroin addict, a corrupt dentist, and a schooner called the Golden Fang, after an unexpected visit from his ex.  The supporting cast includes Owen Wilson, Josh Brolin, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio del Toro, Jena Malone, and Maya Rudolph.  trailer
