THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2    (PG-13)    142 min    5:15 & 8:15
Brand New!  Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reprise their roles from the first Amazing Spiderman film.  For Peter Parker there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers and hanging with his girl Gwen, but that comes with a price, as only Spiderman can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city, including Electro (Jamie Foxx).  His friend Harry Osborne (Dane DeHaan) returns home, but he soon realizes that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.  Director Marc Webb has injected spectacular action, humor and an interesting story into this exciting new superhero film. This refreshing and delightful coming-of-age comedy follows 15 year-old birding fanatic David (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road) who is still struggling with the death of his mother two years ago.  On the eve of his father’s remarriage, he believes he’s made the ornithological discovery of a lifetime.  With the encouragement of a famous local birder (Sir Ben Kingsley) he heads off with his pals from the Young Birders Society and a new girl with a camera on an epic road trip to capture a picture of a rare bird.  This debut feature from director Rob Meyer is intelligent, sweet and funny. Middle class housewife Ila is trying to add some spice to her marriage, through her cooking. Curious about the lack of reaction from her husband, Ila puts a little note in the following day’s lunchbox, in the hopes of getting to the bottom of the mystery.  This begins a series of lunchbox notes between them, and the mere comfort of communicating with a stranger anonymously soon evolves into an unexpected friendship. Still strangers physically, Ila and Saajan become lost in a virtual relationship that could jeopardize both their realities. Trailer
