TOY STORY 3 (G)  103min 5:30 and 8:00
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
Pixar's debut film, the first Toy Story, brought their excellent animation and storytelling skills to the attention of the public.  Its sequel was even better, and the intervening decade has only improved the reputation of this venerable studio, now a division of Disney.  This new episode in the amazing adventures of Woody, Buzz and the gang is sure to be consistently funny, exciting and moving, as the departure of once young Andy, now off to college, leaves the fate of our favorite toys uncertain.  Directed by Lee Ulrich (co-director of Finding Nemo and Toy Story 2) from a screenplay by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine), stars Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Joan Cusack (Jessie), and Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head) reprise their voicework.

Fri July 9 - Mon July 12
GET HIM TO THE GREEK  (R)  109min    6:00 and 8:30
Jonah Hill and Russell Brand reunite with their Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller in this crassly funny and fully entertaining comedy about an ambitious assistant to a record company president (Sean Combs nearly steals the show).  The star struck young man has just been granted a dream job to escort a has-been rock legend from London, through New York, to Los Angeles for a concert kicking off a comeback tour.  If only it were that easy…especially as both are getting over broken relationships.  This year's Judd Apatow produced comedy is smart and funny, with likable characters well acted.

Tues July 13 - Thurs July 15
THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES  (R)  127min  [in Spanish with subtitles}    6:00 and 8:30
This year's surprising Oscar Winner from Argentinan director Juan José Campanella, bested a selection of quality films, but it is no less worthy.  This taut thriller, substantially exploring the power of memory to shape and influence both the present and the future, is about an unsolved murder that still, a quarter century later, haunts the original investigator (Ricardo Darin, Nine Queens).  He is trying for closure by writing it as a story.  He takes a draft to his long ago boss (Soledad Villamil), and the story of their unrequited relationship adds romance.  His alcoholic work partner (Argentine comic Guillermo Francella) brings a comic element to this winning film.
