BRAND NEW!  Director Brad Bird has an amazing catalog of films to his credit:  The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, MI: Ghost Protocol; this is his newest production.  This riveting, thrilling mystery adventure stars George Clooney as a former boy-genius jaded by disillusionment who is bound by a shared destiny with a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity.  Together they embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that changes them and the world forever.  Also starring Hugh Laurie and Tim McGrawtrailer

Friday May 29 - Monday June 1
EX MACHINA  (R)  108min  6:00 & 8:30
In his directing debut, screenwriter Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Sunshine) has made a stylish, tense and twisty thriller with strong performances from the cast and a fascinating story.  Domhnall Gleeson is Caleb, a computer coder for the world's most successful search engine company who wins a competition to spend a week at the reclusive CEO's (Oscar Isaac) remote, private estate.  He discovers that he is the human component to evaluate his boss's latest experiment in artificial intelligence, which is a breath-taking robot named Ava, more emotionally intelligent and deceptive than either man imagines.  trailer

Tuesday June 2 - Thursday June 4
QUEEN AND COUNTRY  (NR)  115min  6:00 & 8:30
This engrossing sequel to director John Boorman's (The General, Deliverance) semi-autobiographical Hope and Glory, about a boy and his family surviving the London blitz, is a personal and unsentimental comedy filled with interesting characters.  The now grown Bill, at boot camp during the Korean War, meets a new friend Percy, a rebellious troublemaker and slacker.  They match wits with their superior officers (David Thewlis and Richard E Grant) although never get near to the war.  trailer
