[Reel Pizza] update Nov 2 - 4

dear friends~

We are quickly approaching the final weekend for this "season."  But between now and then, we have some terrific films to show you. 

Now playing are THE MASTER (R) at 5:30 and 8:15 which is all but guaranteed Oscar-nominations come January, starring Joachin Phoenix, Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman, from director Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood).....AND.....TOYS IN THE ATTIC (PG) at 6:00 and 7:45 a Czech-made (English-language), macabre mystery animation about which the LATimes said it had "non-stop, deliriously-bent action...a testament to the limitlessness of imagination." 

Thursday night at the ABBE MUSEUM is the next entry in the Native American Film Series that we sponsor....BEFORE TOMORROW plays at 7pm at the Abbe on Mount Desert Street.

Playing Friday thru SUN (please note the closing date) we have ROBOT AND FRANK (PG-13) at 6:00 and 8:00 starring Frank Langella as a cantankerous, elderly burglar who receives a robot from his family to monitor his health with hilarious consequences, and SAMSARA (PG-13) at 5:30 and 7:30, a breathtakingly beautiful and thoughtful visual journey from the team who made BARAKA. 

Next Monday evening we will be showing silly films, playing video games, finishing off the food in the kitchen and celebrating another successful year.....starting around 6pm until Chris and Colin get tired (or everyone else leaves!), if you would like to stop by, we would love to see you.

We are looking forward to completing our truncated trip from last fall and returning in December rested and exercised and ready to tackle whatever 2013 has to offer.  We will be reopening in late December, soon after Christmas depending on what film will be available, and when.  We will be selling gift certificates and passes for the holiday (as we do every other day of the year!); Colin will be holding down the fort while we are away.  Call 288-3828, email info@reelpizza.net, or send a check with your order to POBox 625 Bar Harbor ME 04609 and one of us will get back to you asap.
